Which kind of team is DC Core designed for?

DC Core is designed for businesses that need an outsourced IT function, application teams that need an infrastructure operator, IT teams responsible for private or hybrid estates, and security or compliance stakeholders who need specific assurance answers. The Solutions page compares the four routes.

What does DC Core actually take ownership of?

That depends on the scope. DC Core can operate managed hosting, platform connectivity, infrastructure monitoring, backup, managed IT support and agreed operational work. Your team normally retains the application, business data and user decisions unless another responsibility is explicitly agreed.

Which workloads can I run?

DC Core supports Linux and Windows virtual machines, custom images and container-based workloads. We’ll confirm fit and dependencies as part of the pilot scope.

Do we need to migrate everything to DC Core?

No. Approved agents, private connectivity and monitoring can be added around existing customer-owned or third-party environments. A phased approach lets you test the operating model before deciding whether any workload should move.

Is all customer workload data encrypted by DC Core?

DC Core protects the platform, managed infrastructure, transport and backups within its control. Encryption inside customer-built applications, databases, files and custom workloads remains the customer or application owner’s responsibility unless a managed arrangement says otherwise.
